Estate Planning: Top Five Planning Myths
This presentation will focus on the top five estate planning myths that wealth planning professionals encounter when speaking with clients. Ana Veliz will discuss the importance of titling of assets, using a Will vs. a Trust, and the importance of personalized instructions in the estate plan. The session will also discuss funding the estate plan, as well as maintaining the plan to meet the client's goals.
PLANNING FOR THE INTERNATIONAL CLIENT – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
This presentation will explore the factors that go into determining the client's domicile, which subsequently determines the client’s estate planning and tax planning needs. Ana M. Veliz will also discuss the transfer tax treatment for NRAs, as well as planning options for the non-U.S. citizen spouse. The session will also discuss joint ownership of assets and planning for the foreign beneficiary, as well as options for U.S. persons with non-U.S. property or income.
