William R. Dyess, CLTC, Vice President at Gelbwaks Insurance Services, Inc., will present a comprehensive overview of the Long Term Care insurance industry as it stands in our country today. The session will provide details on product choices, the status of the marketplace, current events taking place nationally, and trends for the future. This course has been accepted by CFP Board and Florida Dept. of Financial Services for 2 hours of CE credit.

Bill Dyess is a 1978 graduate of the University of Miami and holds a Business Management degree. He entered the insurance business directly after graduation and has spent his entire career in South Florida working with Peter Gelbwaks, becoming a partner in the firm over a decade age. Bill currently is the Executive Vice President and Director of Marketing for Gelbwaks Insurance Services, which has produced well over 50 million dollars of individual insurance premium, making it one of the largest producing agencies of its type in the United States. Bill is also a past President and founding member of the Dade Association of Health Underwriters. In addition he is a past President of the Gold Coast Association of Underwriters. Bill is the only individual to have ever held the esteemed position of President for both organizations. His association also honored Bill when he was presented with the Stanley Greenspun Memorial Award as the “Health Person of the Year,” the highest achievement award of the Health Underwriters Association. Bill has conducted many education seminars throughout the state of Florida over these last two decades for both insurance agents and financial planners. In addition, he has also co-hosted a radio show dealing primarily with Long Term Care issues. Bill is a member and Vice President of The National Long Term Care Network. The Network is the preeminent marketing organization in the United States focusing on Long Term Care Insurance Education, Distribution, and Design. In 1996, Bill participated in the successful completion of the design of the Long-Term Care insurance program for employer and associated sponsored groups. In 2001 Bill completed his Certified Long Term Care Specialist degree “CLTC”. This degree is the most recognized Long Term Care Specialist degree in the country. In 2007 Gelbwaks Insurance Services, Inc was acquired by LTC Global which is a leader in providing Capital, Sales, and Marketing solutions to the Long Term Care Industry. Bill currently is the Director of the Financial Services Division for LTC Global, which supplies the Financial Advisor Community with the needed backroom support for Long Term Care Education, Products and Underwriting needs.
